Home Renovation Leads the Pals Family to Radon Mitigation

While finishing their lower level, the Pals family planned to create new bedrooms for their kids. Before completing the project, they decided to test for radon to ensure a safe living space. The results showed elevated radon levels, which can pose serious health risks, especially for children. Wanting to protect their family from radon exposure, they reached out to us for a professional radon mitigation system. Their lower level is not only ready for new bedrooms but is also safe and radon-free, giving the Pals peace of mind as their kids enjoy their new space.

High Radon Levels in Home Basement Raise Health Concerns for Family

The homeowner works in medicine and is highly focused on the health and safety of her family, especially with children regularly playing in the basement. She has lived in the home for four years and recently began tracking radon with an electronic monitor. Over the past month, radon levels have averaged around 18 pCi/L, which is well above the EPA action level. This has increased urgency to install a radon mitigation system to lower levels and protect long-term health. Reducing radon is a priority to create a safer basement environment and improve overall indoor air quality for the entire family.

Radon Mitigation - Armstrong, IA

This client's reason why he decided to get a radon mitigation system installed in his home was really sad but we always believe we need to move forward. He lost his wife last year and would like to consider selling his home. Part of the reason to sell a home quickly is it should have a radon mitigation system. So he made the decision as early as today so he would no longer worry when the time comes that he is fully decided in the future. We made sure the installation and process were easy for him.

Family Home with 8 pCi/L Radon Levels Protected by Professional Mitigation

After two charcoal radon test kits showed levels around 8 pCi/L, the owners of a longtime family home decided it was time to take action. The home has been in the family for years, and reducing future radon exposure became an important priority. With one homeowner being a cancer survivor, installing a professional radon mitigation system offered added peace of mind.

Three-Point Radon Mitigation System for Farmhouse with Levels Near 40

This project requires a three-point radon mitigation system due to extremely high radon levels nearing 40 pCi/L. The basement is divided into two concrete chambers separated by a brick wall, plus a large crawl space of roughly 900 sq ft, making multi-point extraction necessary for effective radon reduction. Fan exit is planned at the back corner of the home. Routing can be flexible, but keeping runs on one side of the house is recommended for efficiency. Existing wall gaps, rim joist openings, and pipe penetrations can be used to assist routing. Crawl space access is tight and requires full navigation around the ductwork. Homeowner recently purchased the family farmhouse and wants long-term radon mitigation and indoor air quality protection.
