High Radon Levels Lead Iowa Couple to Install Two-Point Mitigation System

After living in their home for five years, a couple decided to test for radon after a parent recently discovered elevated levels and completed radon mitigation. Using an electronic detector borrowed from their parents, they found radon levels of 12 pCi/L, well above the EPA action level. Although the home had one basement chamber, two extraction points were recommended to effectively address the elevated radon levels. A customized two-point radon mitigation system was installed to draw radon from beneath the home and safely vent it outdoors.
