Radon Mitigation - Merrill, IA
High Radon Levels at 28 pCi/L Require Multi-Point Radon Mitigation in Ranch Home
This ranch home previously tested at 28 pCi/L, well above the recommended safety level. To achieve strong radon reduction, a multi-point mitigation system will be installed across both the original basement and the newer addition. In the addition, the sealed sump pit with exterior drain tile will be used as an extraction point, with a second sub-slab point placed about 10 feet away near the sink. In the main basement, three sub-slab extraction points spaced about 10 feet apart will help pull radon from multiple chambers. Both systems will vent through the rim joist or exterior coring, with fans and mufflers mounted on the side of the home for effective radon removal and quieter operation.
